Αποτεινόμαστε προς όλους εσάς τα μέλη και φίλους του συλλόγου και ζητάμε και την δική σας προσφορά. March 6 is Mardi Gras ( Carnival ) time in Greece and especially in our town of Krokees. The Carnival of Krokees , a 10 day celebration, which has been celebrated for 50 years, has become an institution and a major event and destination that draws large crowds /groups of spectators from all over Greece who come to watch and take part in the annual parade of satirical floats and masquerades. The "Karnavali of Krokees", brings laughter and fun to young and old, places the spotlight on our town, and gives a great boost to the local economy.
In these difficult times for Greece and our town, responding to an appeal for financial support by the Cultural Association of Krokees and in recognition of the great effort put forth by the volunteers who devote more than a month every year in order to prepare/ build and parade the floats, we have decided to support the Carnival of Krokees with the amount of $500. At the same time we appeal to you our members asking for your support to this very important for our town institution " The Karnavali of Krokees" . Your personal / family contribution, will be added to the above amount. You may dedicate your donation to the health or memory of a loved one. All donors /donations will be posted on our web site in a special. You may print this note and mail it along with you check to:
