48th Convention
Baltimore MD ,July 6- 8, 2001

The patriotes of Baltimore have hosted the most successful conventions boosting always our morale and providing financial support for our society. This past convention was no different. Although attendance did not reach the numbers of previous Baltimore conventions the traditional Krokean hospitality, brotherhood and glenti was present and as strong as ever. We attended a great welcoming night on Friday and Glenti on Saturday and Sunday to the nostalgic sound of the fabulous Greek band " Trio Bel Canto". We enjoyed a very pleasant cruise and lunch in the Baltimore Inner Harbor on Saturday morning .On Sunday noon we had an excellent picnic (feast) with all the trimmings, including the traditional Vlita, Lalagides, locaniko.Etc. Many thanks to the organizing committee and the Krokeates of Baltimore for .we had a great time

General Assembly Decisions
Peter Panteleakis of Fairlawn NJ has been authorized to represent our society and negotiate the purchase of the " George Tzanakos Photo Archives" from his heirs with the intention to donate it to our hometown for permanent display.
Annual support of $200 was allotted to our town's new publication " Deikilon". This excellent magazine on the Arts and on the Culture of Krokees and the county of Lakonia is being published periodically with great care and personal effort by our very able patrioti Tassos Pavlakos.
