STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. - Eleni Lintzeris, 89, of New Springville, a loving mother and grandmother, died yesterday in Staten Island University Hospital, in Ocean Breeze.
Born Eleni Panteleakis in Greece, she moved to Scarsdale, N.Y., in 1968 and to Deerfield, Fla., in 1971. She settled in New Springville in 1980.
Mrs. Lintzeris worked for several years as a seamstress at a Scarsdale clothing company in Scarsdale, and as a salad preparer for eight years at a Deerfield restaurant.
She loved to cook and was renowned among family and friends for recreating dishes from her homeland. She was very family-oriented and close to her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
"She was an excellent mother," said her son, Paul.

Mrs. Lintzeris was a parishioner of Holy Trinity-St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church, Bulls Head, and in earlier years was active in its annual Greek Festival.
Her husband of 50 years, Dimitrios, died in 1993.
Surviving, along with her son, Paul, are her son, Paris; four grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren.
The funeral will be tomorrow from the John Vincent Scalia Home for Funerals, Eltingville, with the liturgy at 1 p.m. in Holy Trinity-St. Nicholas Church. Burial will follow in Silver Mount Cemetery, Silver Lake.

Ελενίστα Λιντζέρη (89), σύζυγος του μακαρίτη Δημητράκη, απεβίωσε στις 2 3 Φεβρουαρίου 2011 στο Στάτεν Ισλαντ Νέας Υόρκης. Η Ελενίτσα ήταν μητέρα του Πάρη και Παύλου Λιντζέρη ( 2 ου Αντιπροέδρου του συλλόγου μας) και αδελφή του μακαρίτη Θόδωρου Παντελεάκη στις Κροκεές.
