Leonidas N. Lintgeris 
(July 22, 1922 - May 17, 2012)

Mr. Leonidas N. "Louie" Lintgeris, 89 of 213 Circuit Ave., passed away peacefully at his home on Thursday, May 17, 2012, surrounded  by his loving family. He was the widower of Sophie (Vasilakos) Lintgeris.

Louie was born in New York City, New York on July 22, 1922, son of the late Nikolaos and Marigoula Lintgeris. He was raised in Greece, and returned to the United States at the age of 16. He joined the U.S. Army and proudly served his country during WWII. He owned and operated many restaurants in Waterbury including Oscar's Luncheonette, Brophy's Coffee Bar and the Metro Restaurant & Deli. He later spent twenty years at Spartan's Restaurant, making everyone's favorite soup before retiring at the age of 85. He was a member of the Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church and the Order of AHEPA. He was also a Mason, affiliated with the Liberty -Continental Lodge #76 A.F. & A.M.

Louie loved spending time with his family and enjoyed the fellowship of his Church. He always said "My life is rich because of my family and my Church."

Louie is survived by his two daughters, Margo Ricciardi and her husband George of Waterbury, Georgia Lacman and her husband Steve of Naugatuck, his brother, Constantine Lentzeres and his wife Georgia of Malverne, NY, nine grandchildren, George, Nicholas & Sofia Ricciardi, Larissa and Louis Lacman, Alexis, Nicole and Kristina Lintgeris, and Billy Orechovesky, and two great grandchildren, Christian and Cayden Porto, and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his son, Nicholas Lintgeris, his brother, Peter Lengares, and his sister, Kalliopi Pavlakos.

The family would like to express their gratitude to Louie's caregivers; Bessie, Angie & Stacia for the loving and compassionate care given him.

Arrangements: Funeral will be held Monday, 9:30 a.m. at Chase Parkway Memorial/The Albini Family Funeral Home, 430 Chase Parkway to Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church for a Service at 10:30 a.m. Burial will follow at New Pine Grove Cemetery, with full military honors. Calling hours will be held Sunday, 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home, with a Trisagion Service at 6:00 p.m.

Λεωνίδας Λιτζέρης

(22 Ιουλίου 1922 - 17 Μαΐου, 2012)

Ο Λεωνίδας Ν. "Λούης" Λιτζέρης, απεβίωσε (89 ετών ) ειρηνικά στο σπίτι του την Πέμπτη 17 Μαΐου 2012. Ήταν σύζυγος της αείμνηστης Σοφίας ( Βασιλάκου ), πατέρας της Μαργκος (Μαριγούλας) της Γιωργίας και του αείμνηστου Νίκου στο Waterbury CT και αδελφός του Κώστα στο Malverne, Long Island NY των ΗΠΑ.
Γεννήθηκε στην πόλης της Νέας Υόρκης αλλα μεγάλωσε στις Κροκεές. 'Ήταν γιος του Νίκου και της Μαριγούλας. Επέστρεψε στην Αμερική σε ηληκία 16 και υπηρέτησε στον Αμερικανικό στρατό κατα την διάρκεια του δευτέρου παγκοσμίου πολέμου. Ήταν ιδιοκτήτης πολλών εστιατορίων στην περιοχή του Waterbury CT.
Θερμός Κροκεάτης και υποστηρικτής του συλλόγου Κροκεατων Αμερικής Καναδά ( Krokeai Society) έλαβε μέρος με όλη την οικογένεια του σε πολλά συνέδρια, τελευταία το 2008 στο 54 που έγινε στο Cranston RI

Ενταφιάστηκε με στρατιωτικές τιμές στο New Pine Grove Cemetery, Waterbury CT
